This genus shares all characteristics of the subfamily Spinibdellinae, but can be distinguished from other genera by the following set of characteristics: presence of trichobothriae on tarsi III and IV; two ventral setae on hypostome; genital tracheae well developed; chelicera elongated with reduced scissorlike digits; palpal tibiotarsus with two long end setae; lateral propodosomal setae (
<emphasis id="B93D877B811B2D2C201DF8919B53CA51" box="[827,853,1833,1858]" italics="true" pageId="2" pageNumber="59">ve</emphasis>
) present; palpal tibiotarsus expanded distally (truncated). Until more species are described, this genus remains monotypic.
