Face ventrally yellow, rather shiny, dorsally black, pale pollinose. Gena shiny yellow. Frons and vertex shiny dark brown; frons with a pale-pollinose fascia just behind the frontal prominence which is narrowly interrupted in the middle; the pile short, erect and pale.
