This new species is similar to syntopic
<taxonomicName id="49D17ED7A1C2B8F5B3659000DFBF08E8" class="Gastropoda" family="Pomatiopsidae" genus="Tricula" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Tricula lenahani" order="Littorinimorpha" pageId="15" pageNumber="24" phylum="Mollusca" rank="species" species="lenahani">Tricula lenahani</taxonomicName>
sp. n., from which it differs by its more conical shell with less inflated whorls, a closed umbilicus and the different shape of the aperture. It differs significantly from syntopic
<taxonomicName id="790CA1267313E8B8708BDCF482FFB6FD" lsidName="T. valenasi" pageId="15" pageNumber="24" rank="species" species="valenasi">T. valenasi</taxonomicName>
sp. n. by its shorter, more inflated shell shape, more flattened whorls, straight lateral labral profile and closed umbilicus. From the
<taxonomicName id="BF8CDB760C0E2D699B0E2DA983B5313E" lsidName="T. bollingi" pageId="15" pageNumber="24" rank="species" species="bollingi">T. bollingi</taxonomicName>
Davis, 1968 it differs by its shell and aperture shape, position of the aperture and a more blunt apex. From
<taxonomicName id="FF9F9C0237B727DC0FFCBE711A788A5E" lsidName="T. burchi" pageId="15" pageNumber="24" rank="species" species="burchi">T. burchi</taxonomicName>
Davis, 1968, it differs by its more conical shape with a smaller aperture. The labral lateral profile of
<taxonomicName id="58D1C66A6453625B5874D4A511ED841D" lsidName="T. spelaea" pageId="15" pageNumber="24" rank="species" species="spelaea">T. spelaea</taxonomicName>
sp. n. is straight, and no sinuation is present on its columellar side.

<paragraph id="EC2F737F34E061E344CEC08A6F43E263" pageId="15" pageNumber="24">The shell shape is conical with five somewhat flattened but still convex whorls with a weak suture and blunt apex. The surface is milky whitish and smooth. The aperture is oval tear-shaped; the peristome slightly callous expanding outwards. The labral lip lateral profile is straight, and no sinuation is present at the apical inner lip. The umbilicus is closed.</paragraph>
