Other diagnostic characters in the male genitalia include the gnathos fused with the tegumen, complete or notched medially on the posterior margin; the valva divided: the dorsal part of the valva with the distal portion of costa extending dorsad, forming a setose, clubbed, costal process, extending ventrad and with a ridge fusing the dorsal edge of the protuberant proximal flange; and the ventral part of the valva mostly broadened basally and produced to a narrow, elongate process distally.
