. Caudal legs with four podomeres, none elongate, tibiae and 1st tarsi inflated and bulbous, subequal in length, 2nd tarsi absent; prefemora and femora with small spines in addition to large ones diagnostic of subfamily; tibiae without distomedial lobes; 1st tarsi excavated dorsally forming rounded terminal lobes, and with shallow apical depressions giving rise to fine, minute hairs.
