Cells are Gram-stain-positive, aerobic, non-motile, nonspore-forming and rod-shaped (approximately 0.4 0.7×1.12.3 µm). Colonies on ISP 2 agar are circular, smooth, opaque, creamy white in colour. Grows well on ISP 2, TSA, R2A agar and nutrient agar. Poor growth occurs on ISP 3, ISP 4, ISP 5 and ISP 7 agar. Growth occurs at 10 37
