Conidiophores mononematous, usually arising from aerial hyphae, phialides solitary or in groups of two to three. Phialides emerging laterally from hyphae, forming a compact hymenium, abruptly narrowing into a neck. Conidia in chains, one-celled, hyaline, fusiform or ellipsoidal.</paragraph>
