Moderately large shell with depressed spire; early spire coeloconoid, later spire nearly flat; spire whorls faintly concave; smooth except for delicate growth lines; irregular, impressed suture. Subsutural flexure of medium depth, moderately curved, strongly asymmetrical. Rounded but prominent shoulder with position of maximum diameter closely below shoulder. Last whorl straight-sided and conical, not constricted; broad, low spiral cords on base. Aperture moderately narrow, widening abapically into weakly recurved, short siphonal canal; siphonal fasciole weak, twisted, poorly demarcated from base and inner lip. Colour pattern consisting of narrowly spaced spiral dashes.
