All have very long socii; simple, narrow gnathos and tuba analis; slender valvae with the sacculus bearing two clusters of bristles, one short and situated on the disc, the other very long and situated on the angulation; and cucullus protruding ventrally at 1/4 length, forming a triangular prominence with four strong apical thorns.
