Numerous long, clavate, contractile tentacles distributed over edge of body. Macronucleus spherical or ovoid, centrally located. A group (1229) of contractile vacuoles placed near edges of body, or (when their number is greatest) thorough the body is characteristic. Reproduction by inversogemmic budding.</paragraph>
