This species occupies a narrow band in the central and eastern Nearctic region from

and
<collectingRegion box="[1010,1115,224,248]" country="United States of America" name="Missouri" pageId="8" pageNumber="170">Missouri</collectingRegion>
east to
<collectingRegion box="[1210,1269,224,248]" country="United States of America" name="Ohio" pageId="8" pageNumber="170">Ohio</collectingRegion>
(DeWalt et al. 2012a). These new records for
<collectingRegion box="[1185,1297,260,284]" country="United States of America" name="Michigan" pageId="8" pageNumber="170">Michigan</collectingRegion>
are from the southwestern Lower Peninsula. We anticipate that additional populations will be located in the state’s larger river systems (e.g., Grand, St. Joseph, Menominee).
