Carapace about twice as long as wide, dorsal surface pitted, irregular. Carapace with cardiac crest, crest bilobed in males; anterolateral margin with granulated ridge running from orbit diagonally outward, backward; crossing hepatic region. Chelipeds stout, setose, immovable finger short, markedly deflexed, with stout tooth in middle, small tooth near apex; dactyl much curved, with or without tooth at middle.

chela more robust than that of female, with proportionally shorter fixed finger having stout, flat tooth proximally. Pereopods 25 setose, dactyls slender. Pereopod 2 shorter than chelipeds, pereopod 3 longer stronger than pereopod 2; pereopod 4 longest, pereopod 5 with dactyl as long as propodus, reaching carpus of pereopod 4.
