. The Bornean Ferret-badger has a small, slender body and a long snout. The dorsal pelage is dark brown throughout, including the tail. The undersides are rn The head is black with a facial mask that consists of white or yellow patches, which are variable in size and shape. The claws on the forefeet are well- developed for digging. The skull and teeth are small.

Red List. The only recorded sightings of Bornean Ferret-badgers have occurred on the Kinabalu massif, near and within the National Park. There is no information on its susceptibility to habitat change or what hunting levels occur in its range. Very little is known about this species and field studies are needed to learn more about its natural history, ecology, and conservation status.
