This species is characteristic in having a triangularly expanded mid-basal area of the male cerci and a mid-ventral narrow longitudinal membranous incision on more than basal 1/2 of the female 6th abdominal sternite. This species usually bears only 1 posthumeral seta (

Male: 6th abdominal tergite fused medially with syntergosternite 7+8 and about 1/5 as long as the latter, bearing a row of long and strong setae with fine hairs among them; syntergosternite 7+8 and epandrium shining brown-black, without pruinosity. Female: 6th tergite separated medially into two hemitergites, each hemitergite narrowed above in lateral view, with a row of long and strong setae on posterior margin of upper 2/3; 6th sternite more than 2 times as long as 6th tergite, with many strong setae on posterior 1/2, anteromedian longitudinal portion narrowly incised; 7th tergite separated into hemitergites, shorter than 6th tergite, with a row of rather strong setae on posterior margin; 7th sternite about 3/5 as long as 6th sternite, posteromedian narrow longitudinal portion membranously excavated to more than 1/2 of its length, with fine hairs on posterior 1/2; 8th tergite absent; 8th sternite short and rather wide, with several hairs; epiproct quadrate, with 2 pairs of setae.
