As showninPart 1, the species comprises two fairly distinct geographic forms: an eastern one, found around the head of Spencer
<collectingRegion box="[1479,1557,2163,2201]" country="Papua New Guinea" name="Gulf" pageId="26" pageNumber="111">Gulf</collectingRegion>
and north through the Flinders Ranges to the MacDonnell ranges of the
<collectingRegion box="[1826,2147,2208,2247]" country="Australia" name="Northern Territory" pageId="26" pageNumber="111">Northern Territory</collectingRegion>
, and a western one in places west of about 135° longitude. Although qualifying as geographic subspecies, I see no point in naming them formally.
