of the Venezuelan fauna and can be distinguished from similar species by having in combination a lack of bronzing of the distal fore wings found in the remaining species, the lack of longitudinal lines within of the fore wing apical cells, the anterior margin of the supra-antennal plates is angled in the middle rather than being smoothly curved anteriorly, the lateral angle of the pronotal collar forms an approximate right angle, the posterior opening of the timbal cavity is smoothly curved, the male opercula have a curved posterior margin, and the basal lobe appendage extends along the midline with the terminus bent at a right angle (illustrated in
