<paragraph pageId="548" pageNumber="549">This species ranges from northern Alaska to the western shores of the Hudson Bay in northern Manitoba and Southampton Island in Nunavut [see Ball 1963: Fig. 2; Nielsen et al. 1987: Fig. 18a]; isolated in eastern Ohio (Usis and MacLean 1998: 67). Fossil remnants of this species, dated between about 16,700 and 21,500 years B.P., have been unearthed in north-central Illinois (Garry et al. 1990: 394) and east-central Iowa (Baker et al. 1986: 96).</paragraph>
