<paragraph pageId="6" pageNumber="7">While not common, this species has been collected in a variety of habitats on both sides of the Orinoco. Most collections were made in standing waters, including both temporary and likely permanent roadside ponds and marshes. Other collections were made along the margins of morichals, and the largest series was taken in a shallow slack-water pool of a small river.</paragraph>
