. Head with epicephalon shining but otherwise pollinose. Frontal vitta broad anteriorly, barely distinguishable from narrow orbital strips, postocellar part of vitta evenly tapered, slightly wider than ocellar triangle at posterior extreme. One lower fronto-orbital seta. Base of arista yellow and slightly swollen; arista sparsely microsetose in basal fifth. Clypeus bare and shining.

Postpronotal lobe brown, with a strong dark carina at posteroventral margin. Anepisternum and anterior part of katepisternum with sparse small dark setae.</paragraph>

Wing infuscated, slightly darker along leading edge; halter knob dark.</paragraph>

Spermathecal ducts smooth, paired spermathecae almost spherical but with distal surface indentate, striate, with elongate and prominently long-tuberculate bases; single spermatheca elongate oval, small.</paragraph>

<paragraph id="8BE73694FFC4D62BFF7C84B460EB4829" blockId="7.[151,1437,1014,1975]" pageId="7" pageNumber="261">Male abdomen of available specimens with discolored pleuron; S2 with an anterior window narrowly closed by an anterior sclerotized strip (known males of other species have a uniformly sclerotized S2); S5 with genital fork robust, with short, incurved arms and short inner basal tubercles with 3–4 short, stout teeth; epandrium strikingly long-setose posteroventrally, longest setae longer than epandrial height. Distiphallus very broad, terminating in a phallic bulb about one third as long as basal part of phallus.</paragraph>
