This species is distinguished by the short, steep declivity that is ~1/5 of total elytral length, armed with moderate tubercles on interstriae 1 and 3, interstriae 2 always unarmed; moderate body length; posterolateral margins rounded; declivital interstriae 1 setae in two confused rows, interstriae 2 setae uniseriate; and the declivity strongly shagreened, strial punctures shallow, obscure.
