Head-body 71-84 mm (tailless), ear 15-23 mm, hindfoot 9-17 mm, forearm 49-56 mm; weight 24-48 g. The Eldorado Broad-nosed Batis one of the largest species of

. Dorsal pelage is glossy blackish brown; hairs have four bands, with basesslightly paler. Ventral pelage is duller dark brown. Back has distinctive medial white stripe, and face has lateral buffy stripes. Noseleaf, ears, and wing membranes are blackish; legs, feet, and uropatagium are fuscous. Posterior edge of relatively narrow uropatagium has fringe of bufty hairs. I' are long, narrow, and well developed. M' parastyle is absent, M' metastyle is present, and there are no stylid cusps on anterior or posterior faces of main cone of P,.
