Head-body 90-100 mm (tailless), ear 24-25 mm, hindfoot 15-16 mm, forearm 57-63 mm; weight 55-68 g. Albericos Broad-nosed Bat is one of the largest species of

. Fur is dense and soft. Dorsal fur is blackish brown and long (

); hairs on back and underparts are tricolored; dorsal line on mid-back is snow white and narrow from crown to base of caudal membrane; and underparts are grayish brown to light brown, paler than back. Head is robust, short, and broad. Face has four parallel stripes, snow white and conspicuous; upper ones run from behind nose over eyes to upper edges of ears on crown; lower ones are less sharply defined and run from upperlip under eyes to lower edges of the ears. Noseleat is fleshy, large, and spear-shaped; edges of noseleaf are dark, never bright yellow, and lower rim is free; ears are large and rounded, edges sometimes pale, but never yellow; and folds on ears are poorly marked but distinguishable along rear edge. Length of third metacarpal is subequal to fifth; elbows are densely furred and colored like back. Caudal membrane is very short in middle, with deep V-shaped groove; edge has dense fringe of short hairs; and hairs on upper surface of feet are long and dense. I' are broad and converging, with parallel tips, and twice as long as I&gt;. M' mesostyle is present, M* metastyle is absent, and stylid cusps are absent on anterior or anterolingual face of main cone of P,. Chromosomal complement of 2n = 30 and FN = 56 reported for Greater Broad-nosed Bat (
