Body deep; greatest body depth contained 2.9 to 4.4, head length 3.4 to 4.4 times in SL; snout length contained 2.2 to 2.3, horizontal orbital diameter 8.3 to 11.8 and least interorbital width 2.5 to 3.1 times in HL; orbital diameter contained 3.1 to 4.3 times in interorbital width. Mouth terminal; with dentigerous plates in both premaxilla and dentary. Lateral line with 27-28 plates. Dorsal fin with I,6, pectoral fin with I,8- 10, pelvic fin with 7 and anal fin with 12 or 13 rays. Ground color pale brown to greyish, darker dorsally, lighter ventrally; dark-brown or grey chromatophores irregularly distributed on body. Dark-brown or yellowish fins (
