Epandrium in lateral view 1.25 times longer than wide, in posterior view 2.3 times wider than high (before cerci), small setae densely covering posterior portion of epandrium mixed with a low density of large setae; surstylus 1.1 times as high as epandrium, elephant trunk shape tapering in the first 1/3 and remaining thin until tip, with a large thick half circular structure situated basally with few short markings within, with only a few apical setae; cerci small and slightly rounded apically, 0.46 times length of surstylus in posterior view, medium length setae along the edge, uniform thickness in lateral view.

The species name is in honour of Dr. Terry A. Wheeler who was involved in the early stages of this study but could not see the final product because of a brain tumor. He was quite interested in this species because the genitalia are so drastically different from the other species.
