</taxonomicName>
sp. 2 has a somewhat globular test that is wider than long with a rounded aboral end that is slightly flattened and an oval cross-section. All the chambers are greatly inflated with deep, oblique sutures and a pronounced aperture that spans the width of the test and is bound by a prominent, flat, protruding lip that curves slightly backwards. A long, flap-like tooth closely mirrors the shape of the lip and aperture. This species is also distinguished by a supplementary layer of rodshaped calcite crystals that provide the test with a rough, matte finish (
