About 290 species (

et al. 2010) in the Nearctic (four species, one of them adventive), Neotropical (about 30 species, one in Mexico, the other ones in South America), Australian (about 180 species), Oriental (five species), and Palaearctic (about 70 species) Regions placed in 34 genera. The genera are arrayed in five subtribes (
