differs from all other species of the genus by the prolonged male subgenital plate that has the apical area divided into two narrow branches that are strongly recurved with the tips pointing dorsocraniad and carry at the upcurved underside minute styli. The apical internal process of the male cerci terminates into a single acute tooth instead of being for a short distance divided at end and terminating into two teeth as in most other species of the genus. Moreover, the male titillators are not strongly curved in about mid-length as in most other species of the genus but fused over almost the whole length except at base and at end; at end they divide into short proximal and distal branches that together form the base for a large, white, and membranous, balloon-like structure.
