(98% sequence similarity in ITS; 92% in TUB2; 96% in TEF1).
<taxonomicName class="Sordariomycetes" family="Apiosporaceae" genus="Arthrinium" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Fungi" lsidName="Arthrinium bambusae" order="Xylariales" pageId="0" pageNumber="1" phylum="Ascomycota" rank="species" species="bambusae">Arthrinium bambusae</taxonomicName>
differs from
<taxonomicName lsidName="A. subroseum" pageId="0" pageNumber="1" rank="species" species="subroseum">A. subroseum</taxonomicName>
in the morphology of conidiophore (reduced to conidiogenous cells in
<taxonomicName lsidName="A. bambusae" pageId="0" pageNumber="1" rank="species" species="bambusae">A. bambusae</taxonomicName>
vs. erect or ascending, clustered in groups in
<taxonomicName lsidName="A. subroseum" pageId="0" pageNumber="1" rank="species" species="subroseum">A. subroseum</taxonomicName>
). Moreover,
<taxonomicName lsidName="A. bambusae" pageId="0" pageNumber="1" rank="species" species="bambusae">A. bambusae</taxonomicName>
does not produce pigment on the PDA.
