The second clade of our
<taxonomicName class="Amphibia" family="Rhacophoridae" genus="Polypedates" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Polypedates" order="Anura" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" phylum="Chordata" rank="genus">Polypedates</taxonomicName>
, and an additional specimen from Mandalay (USNM 587059) were placed in a COIBIN with four individuals from Thailand identified as
<taxonomicName class="Amphibia" family="Rhacophoridae" genus="Polypedates" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Polypedates" order="Anura" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" phylum="Chordata" rank="genus">Polypedates</taxonomicName>
sp. Our specimens were placed in a 16S clade with individuals identified as

with COI data (Buddhachat and Suwannpoom 2018) identified five major clades in the
<taxonomicName lsidName="P. leucomystax" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="leucomystax">P. leucomystax</taxonomicName>
complex. Our specimens were placed in their &quot;Northern A Polypedates sp.&quot; clade (not shown). Our ongoing work (Wilkinson, Mulcahy, Zug, in prep.) suggests that this clade represents
<taxonomicName lsidName="P. mutus" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="mutus">P. mutus</taxonomicName>
senus stricto (the

We sequenced three individuals initially identified as
<taxonomicName class="Amphibia" family="Rhacophoridae" genus="Polypedates" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Polypedates teraiensis" order="Anura" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" phylum="Chordata" rank="species" species="teraiensis">Polypedates teraiensis</taxonomicName>
from Sagaing (USNM 524030), Yangon (USNM 587048), and Bago (587049). These were all placed in their own COIBIN and in a 16S clade with specimens from GenBank identified as
<taxonomicName lsidName="P. teraiensis" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="teraiensis">P. teraiensis</taxonomicName>
(AB530512-21) and two individuals (AB728167-8) labeled
<taxonomicName lsidName="P. leucomystax" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="leucomystax">P. leucomystax</taxonomicName>
, presumably misidentified. Additionally, we sequenced three additional specimens initially identified as
<taxonomicName class="Amphibia" family="Rhacophoridae" genus="Chiromantis" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Chiromantis" order="Anura" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" phylum="Chordata" rank="genus">Chiromantis</taxonomicName>
spp. Two specimens (USNM 560923, USNM 560927) from Mandalay initially identified as
<taxonomicName lsidName="C. hansenae" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="hansenae">C. hansenae</taxonomicName>
, were placed in their own COIBIN and in a 16S clade with other individuals from GenBank identified as
<taxonomicName class="Amphibia" family="Rhacophoridae" genus="Chiromantis" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Chiromantis doriae" order="Anura" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" phylum="Chordata" rank="species" species="doriae">Chiromantis doriae</taxonomicName>
. There is considerable genetic variation among the
<taxonomicName lsidName="C. doriae" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="doriae">C. doriae</taxonomicName>
specimens in GenBank, indicating that
<taxonomicName lsidName="C. doriae" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="doriae">C. doriae</taxonomicName>
as currently used is a species complex in need of revision. The third specimen (USNM 524023) from Sagaing was initially identified as
<taxonomicName lsidName="C. nongkhorensis" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="nongkhorensis">C. nongkhorensis</taxonomicName>
, but was placed at the base of the 16S clade containing
<taxonomicName lsidName="C. nongkhorensis" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="nongkhorensis">C. nongkhorensis</taxonomicName>
and
<taxonomicName lsidName="C. doriae" pageId="0" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="doriae">C. doriae</taxonomicName>
specimens from GenBank (

). This specimen may represent a new species; however, we treat it as
