What was already suspected by some researchers could be established using DNA barcoding of specimens of each sex (only one female was available, but numerous males). Our obtained sequences were too short to be included in the attached tree (Suppl. material 1), but a female specimen, collected at the Institute's garden in Munich was sequenced and stored in the framework of the Global Malaise trap project (project code GMGMW in BOLD) (
