This tick is widely distributed in North

and there are records of it from across Tennessee (Durden &amp; Kollars 1992). Adult rabbit ticks typically parasitize rabbits whereas larvae and nymphs parasitize birds and rabbits (Durden &amp; Kollars 1992).
