The above record appears to be the first from the Park for this cosmopolitan flea of domestic dogs and some other canids (Durden &amp; Kollars 1997). The dog flea is an intermediate host for the double pored dog tapeworm (Durden &amp; Traub 2002). Parola et al. (2003) reported novel genotypes of
