Head—body c.22 cm, tail ¢.38 cm; weight ¢.350 g. The upper body of the Rio Manicoré Marmoset is mottled silvery-white and gray, giving an almost striped effect on the back and rump. Underparts are whitish-yellow to orange and the tail is black. There is a light gray cap on the head. Outer surfaces of the thighs are dark reddy-brown, contrasting with the pale body. The face is naked and orange with dark brown around the eyes and nostrils and on the lower lip and chin. Genitals are not pigmented.
