Length 6 lines.-Chestnut-brown: delicately and evenly striated; the striation on the head, mesothorax, scutellum, node of the peduncle and second segment of the abdomen is longitudinal, that on the prothorax is obliquely curved; on the metathorax and basal segment of the abdomen it is transversely curved; the clypeus truncate in front, with the lateral angles emarginate; the mandibles bent, smooth and shining, their inner edge only touching towards their apex, and being finely denticulate; the eyes less prominent than in
