) de couleur verdâtre à létat vivant deviennent grises une fois fixées. La partie superficielle contient un pigment foncé, lintérieur de la tunique et les zoïdes sont incolores. La consistance est très molle et on ne distingue que difficilement un groupement des zoïdes en rosettes. Les colonies sont épaisses de

Il existe une courte région non perforée antérieure à la branchie. Le nombre de stigmates par rang na pas pu être compté. La musculature thoracique de fibres longitudinales se prolonge en 2 rubans jusquà lextrémité postérieure de labdomen, au delà du coeur. La musculature transverse est forte et serrée sur le thorax. Il y a 1 ou 2 prolongements vasculaires courts à la partie postérieure de labdomen.</paragraph>

Le tube digestif (

) forme une boucle dont les branches sont rectilignes en labsence de contraction. Lestomac est dissymétrique suivi dun post-estomac, puis dun intestin moyen en olive. Le rectum débute au fond de la boucle intestinale. Les différents compartiments de lintestin sont peu marqués, ou pas du tout, chez de nombreux zoïdes. Le coeur se situe en grande partie posté- rieurement à la boucle intestinale, surtout chez les zoïdes femelles.

Chaque colonie a des zoïdes dun seul sexe, les gonades sont soit mâles soit femelles. Elles sont placées dans la boucle intestinale. Le testicule (

) ne se trouvent que dans les colonies femelles. Le tronc mesure 0,65 mm. Les 3 papilles adhésives alignées sont épaisses, bien écartées. Elles sont intercalées avec 4 vésicules épidermiques épaisses, et quelques éléments filiformes. La queue ne décrit que ½ tour. Ocelle et otolithe sont présents ainsi que 3 rangs de stigmates nets.

<paragraph id="474C41173B305C25E9F7FA05FE4FC33F" blockId="42.[674,1210,1484,1700]" lastBlockId="43.[111,649,723,1510]" lastPageId="43" lastPageNumber="842" pageId="42" pageNumber="841">Les 3 colonies ont un aspect un peu différent: lune est nettement pédonculée et mesure 2,5 cm de haut; les autres, plus basses, sont épaisses de 1,5 cm. La base est entièrement incrustée de sable mais la partie superficielle en est dépourvue et a une coloration bleu-noir qui persiste dans le formol. La tunique contient de nombreuses pelotes fécales dans toute son épaisseur. Les zoïdes sont incolores mais la tunique à leur contact contient dabondantes cellules rondes foncées. Les zoïdes forment des systèmes étoilés en surface des colonies. Les orifices cloacaux sont groupés mais sans dépression centrale. Le siphon cloacal est plus long que le siphon buccal. Le thorax est long, le nombre de stigmates na pas pu être compté, le premier rang est relevé dorsalement. La musculature thoracique constituée de fibres longitudinales et transverses entrecroisées est très forte. Le tube digestif a les segments habituels, le rectum se courbe au-dessus de lestomac par contraction seulement. La glande pylorique sétend en tubules longitudinaux parallèles. Les gonades sont logées dans la boucle digestive avec de nombreux lobules testiculaires et un gros ovocyte central. Des cellules contenant un matériel cristallin sont présentes dans le manteau au niveau de labdomen.</paragraph>
