dépaisseur en moyenne. À létat vivant, elle avait une couleur pêche, elle est décolorée en formol, mais les zoïdes gardent une teinte jaune. Le bord de la colonie est épais. La surface est un peu rugueuse, percée dorifices cloacaux légèrement surélevés, ronds largement ouverts. Les spicules sont denses dans toute lépaisseur de la colonie et la rendent solide, mais elle reste flexible. Les ouvertures buccales sont très régulièrement réparties donnant un aspect ponctué.

Les abdomens sont inclus dans la couche basale qui contient aussi des inclusions de couleur orange ou brune.</paragraph>

Les zoïdes les moins contractés (

) sont grands, 2,5 mm, le thorax et labdomen sont allongés dans le prolongement lun de lautre et séparés par un pédoncule oesophago-rectal particulièrement long.

Le siphon buccal en forme dentonnoir est bordé de 6 lobes triangulaires. Le siphon cloacal est court, étroit à 5 lobes et souvre en face du deuxième rang de stigmates. Les organes thoraciques latéraux sont circulaires, au dessus du troisième rang de stigmates, près du siphon cloacal. Il existe un espace imperforé antérieur à la branchie qui napparaît que sur des animaux peu contractés. La branchie a un très grand nombre de stigmates, de chaque côté 18 au moins pour le premier rang et 16 au plus pour les 2 derniers rangs. Lappendice fixateur, situé immédiatement sous le thorax, est extrêmement petit, souvent représenté par un simple bouton (

). Le pédoncule oesophago-rectal est très long et étroit et porte 2 bourgeons à son entrée dans labdomen. La boucle digestive est allongée, droite (
