This species is known only from the original specimens that were collected in the southeastern part of

, between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (

). In structure it is very similar to

but is readily distinguished by all three pairs of femora being dark brown instead of as yellow as the tibiae. Antennal segment IV is also relatively shorter and stouter (
