As highlighted by the name, according to Voss it should differ from the typical form by the presence of dark spots on the pronotum not mentioned by Marshall. Voss explicitly gave it infrasubspecific rank describing a new subspecies on the same page. Therefore, according to the Art. 45.6.4 of
