. Head semiglobular, with markedly prominent frontal callus. Frons, ocellar tubercle, vertex and occiput completely black. Frons tapered towards frontal callus and immediately above it very narrow, nearly linear. Frontal callus rounded in profile, distinctly higher than scape is long, drop-like in frontal view, white. Antenna yellow, scape slightly longer than broad at distal margin, pedicel with usual subtriangular projection on inner surface, flagellar complex almost round, subapical arista brown. Face whitish, proboscis yellow. Head pile pale yellow, mainly erect, longest hairs reaching length of scape.

Thoracic pile inconspicuous, yellow, on scutum generally shorter than frontal hairs but distinctly longer on propleuron, notopleuron, katatergite and mediotergite. Hairs on other pleural parts mostly erect, longer than pile on disc of scutum, anepisternum extensively bare.</paragraph>
|

Radial triangle (r2+3) low and long, R2+3 starting shortly before anterior crossvein, almost parallel to R1, much longer than Rs. Crossvein R-M almost as long as distal margin of discal cell, upper posterior margin of discal cell almost straight, posterior crossvein absent. Vein M3 straight, parallel to M2, its apical fourth reduced. Postcubitus (CuP) only hyaline, not pigmented. Halter darkened, only basal half of stem yellowish. Posttegula with a bunch of black hairs.</paragraph>

Pile on legs generally corresponding with ground colour, i.e. yellow on yellow parts, black on black parts and white on white parts but many black hairs visible also on outer surface of yellow hind femora.
|

Black bands reaching lateral margins at least on basal 3 tergites and occupying less than basal half on tergite 1 and almost half of tergites 2–4, leaving only narrow anterior margin and broad posterior margin of tergites yellow. Tergite 5 with extensive black central marking leaving both yellow margins of same width. Also tergite 6 with a broad dark transverse band. Venter mainly yellow. Abdominal hairs yellow and long especially on tergite 1 and along lateral margin on basal half of abdomen. Darker parts with dense, mainly appressed and short black hairs, but sparse black hairs visible also in yellow areas of all tergites. Ventral hairs yellow, sparse and mainly appressed.</paragraph>
