<paragraph id="DC7636E27C5EFFE6858827A1FA85FB15" blockId="6.[189,1399,941,1184]" pageId="6" pageNumber="7">Small to minute shells, Equivalve. Slightly inequilateral, beaks behind the midline. Outline subovate, anterior a little more expanded than posterior. Hinge with an anterior cardinal peg in the right valve, an anterior marginal flange in the left valve, posterior teeth lacking; ligament internal on a recessed resilifer beneath and posterior of the beaks. Sculpture weak primarily of commarginal lines, faint radial striations may be present along with microscopic notches in the ventral margins. Adductor muscles of approximately equal size; mantle edge with a large pedal gape, fused from mid point posteriorly with a small exhalant aperture; foot with an active byssus. Ctenidia of single, un-reflected, demibranchs.</paragraph>
