The presence of three pairs of microsetae (
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">J3</emphasis>
,
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">J4</emphasis>
, and
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">Z3</emphasis>
) on the posterior dorsal shield of the new species is unique and distinctly different from all other known species of the subgenus
<taxonomicName class="Arachnida" family="Digamasellidae" genus="Longoseius" higherTaxonomySource="GBIF" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Longoseius (Longoseiulus)" order="Mesostigmata" pageId="0" pageNumber="59" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="subGenus" subGenus="Longoseiulus">Longoseius Longoseiulus</taxonomicName>
. Some displacement of
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">J3</emphasis>
toward the bases of
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">J4</emphasis>
, making the bases of
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">J3</emphasis>
and
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">Z3</emphasis>
almost transversely aligned, also makes the idiosomal chaetotaxy of
<taxonomicName authorityName="Mašán" authorityYear="2022" class="Arachnida" family="Digamasellidae" genus="Longoseius" higherTaxonomySource="GBIF" kingdom="Animalia" lsidName="Longoseius (Longoseiulus) disparisetus" order="Mesostigmata" pageId="0" pageNumber="59" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="species" species="disparisetus" subGenus="Longoseiulus">Longoseius (Longoseiulus) disparisetus</taxonomicName>
sp. nov. peculiar. Most of the dorsal setae are of approximately equal length in all other congeneric species, with the exception of
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">Z5</emphasis>
and
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">S5</emphasis>
, which are conspicuously long in most representatives of the family and are located at the posterior margin of the opisthonotum.

There are other important diagnostic characters for this new species: (1) the absence of dorsal setae
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">r5</emphasis>
(these setae are present on the soft cuticle in females of the related species whose setae
<emphasis italics="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="59">Z3</emphasis>
are prominent and moderately elongate), (2) the absence of many leg setae that

originally reported the chaetotaxy of the legs, namely

. In comparison with the above species, the new species was found to have setal deficiencies in the following leg segments: genu II with eight instead of 11 setae, tibia II with seven instead of 10 setae, tibia III with six instead of seven setae, and telotarsi II and III with 11 instead of 12 setae. For a further comparison of the chaetotaxy of the legs of the new species with those of the subgenus
