A single worker taken by Dr. Bequaert at Masaki (between Masisi and Walikale) agrees very closely with Forel's description, except that the erect hairs on the body are coarser and not "wooly" and the gaster is not darker in the middle but uniformly yellowish brown like the remainder of the body. Dr. Bequaert took his specimen from one of the domatia of a Cuviera (probably C. angolensis), the other swellings of which were occupied by Engramma
