Hydrothecae sessile, tubular, arising singly from stem and branches, irregularly placed in several planes, curving outwards, with varied proportion between adnate and free adcauline part. Operculum, diaphragm and nematothecae absent. Gonothecae solitary, arising on stem and primary branches.</paragraph>
