Recognized by the relatively deep and wide pronotal foveae (

), the smooth shining depressed areas of the elytra, the very weak posterior angles of the pronotum, the brown dorsum with faint yellowish maculae near base and at summit of posterior declivity, the golden­yellowish setae, and the median oval fovea of the metasternum. Readily distinguished from the other brownish species,

: body (length to elytral apices) 1.57/ 0.69, head 0.28/0.42, pronotum 0.42/0.56, elytra 0.97/0.69. Form elongate oval, transversely quite convex. Dorsum brown, head dark brown, ocelli yellow, elytra with diffuse yellowish maculae near base and near summit of posterior declivity; setae yellowish to goldish.

<paragraph id="A60B36EB315D83309671F961FCC14802" blockId="4.[264,1325,1038,1905]" pageId="4" pageNumber="5">Labrum deflexed, wider than long, in males with small dentiform apicomedian process and basomedian fovea, in females simple. Frons and clypeus setose, more densely so laterally. Frons with median oval setose tumidity.</paragraph>
<paragraph id="A60B36EB315D83319671F8F9FD904E7D" blockId="4.[264,1325,1038,1905]" lastBlockId="5.[264,1324,284,550]" lastPageId="5" lastPageNumber="6" pageId="4" pageNumber="5">Pronotal disc with anterior oval fovea, between setose costae, 23 times as large as fovea behind it, relief between foveae well developed; punctures and granules in anterior fovea forming two longitudinal series. Pronotal lateral margin granulate and setose, arcuate, posterior angles obsolete.</paragraph>
