On a recently deceased specimen, traces of transverse red banding remain on the pleon, whilst the chelipeds have an olive-green colour, with the fingertips of the major cheliped being peach coloured. Fresh specimens have been noted to also display red banding on the distal part of each pereiopod article, with the uropods and telson being translucent-red.
