<paragraph id="8BE936FBFFB26612FEFE519BACE0F8B0" blockId="2.[264,1324,1073,1899]" pageId="2" pageNumber="3">Description. Small, elongate, subcylindrical, flattened above, transversely convex below; with various color, punctation and vestiture. Head with frontovertex strongly excavated between eyes; one pair of small, flattened lobes slightly produced and projecting anteriorly beyond outline of eyes; eyes of moderate size, inner margins diverging dorsally; circumocular groove extends from dorsal midpoint around inner margin to well beyond ventral midpoint; one pair of short transverse grooves above antennal cavities; frontoclypeus strongly narrowed between antennae; gena depressed beneath eyes for reception of basal antennameres in repose, genal tooth obtuse Antennae with antennamere 2 longer, more globose than 3, 4 taken together; 5­10 short, serrate, each wider than long; 11 oblong. Pronotum strongly gibbose anteriomedially, disk otherwise depressed, explanate to lateral and posterior margins; anterior margin moderately convex medially; lateral margins carinate, widest just posterior to midpoint, lateroposterior angle obtuse. Scutellum subtriangular, length subequal to width, lateral margins feebly concave. Elytra narrowed laterally exposing narrow lateral area of abdomen; with large basal depressions between humeri and suture; margin finely serrate; apices narrowly, separately rounded; pygidium with medial longitudinal carina, but without projecting tooth or spine. Prosternum with feeble, bisinuate mentonniere; metacoxal plate with posterior margin evenly transverse; legs without abnormal modifications, hind femora with short setal comb on distal half of length; tarsal claws strongly appendiculate.</paragraph>

This new genus group name is chosen to honor Ms. Mary Dejong, American Museum of Natural History Library, New York, in thanks for her valuable assistance in finding and transmitting copies of numerous hard­to­find publications previously unavailable to me.</paragraph>

Remarks. This monotypic genus is distinct from all described coraebine genera from
<collectingCountry id="F341766BFFB36613FECE54FEAFFAFE25" box="[264,406,484,510]" name="Madagascar" pageId="3" pageNumber="4">Madagascar</collectingCountry>
and the Afrotropical region; this is discussed below.
