The plate is wedge-shaped with nearly straight, rapidly converging lateral edges; the posterior margin carries an irregular row of six conical to triangular teeth of decreasing sizes on either side of a narrow medial gap. The broad lateral gap lacks any teeth. The corner teeth are simple (not multilobate) with rounded conical terminations. A stiff setule (guide pin of
