Pronotum transversely, somewhat widely sulcate close to anterior margin, and longitudinally somewhat widely sulcate centrally, from anterior transverse sulcus to posterior constriction; surface between anterior sulcus and posterior constriction densely, microscopically punctate, slightly rugose, with sparse, fine punctures interspersed; central area of posterior constriction with oblique, smooth tubercle on each side (tubercles divergent from posterior margin of pronotum), and narrow carina between them; sides of posterior constriction rugose; with somewhat sparse, short, decumbent yellowish setae, except glabrous central area of posterior constriction. Sides of prothorax with sculpturing and setae as on central area of pronotum. Prosternum sparsely, finely punctate; posterior 2/3 finely, transversely striate; with sparse, somewhat short, bristly yellowish setae, and long, erect setae of same colour interspersed. Prosternal process laminiform except posterior third slightly widened, placed below level of prosternum, surpassing apex of procoxae. Mesoventrite with somewhat abundant, short, decumbent yellowish setae laterally, not obscuring integument, sparser centrally. Mesoventral process triangular basally, becoming laminiform posteriorly, not reaching apex of mesocoxae. Metanepisternum and sides of metaventrite with somewhat abundant, short, decumbent yellowish setae; central area of metaventrite almost glabrous. Scutellum smooth, nearly glabrous.
