. Fortunately, enough is preserved of it to facilitate the identification of the species once fresh specimens (preferably males) should be found. Both the gonostylus and the tegmen of

are somewhat peculiar: the gonostylus has a subglobular basal portion that is more densely setose dorsally than ventrally, and a slightly elongate, evenly tapered apical portion bearing a broad tooth; the small, subtriangular tegmen is sclerotized and has unusually large apodemes (Fig. C). The ejaculatory apodeme, which in the
<typeStatus id="54CDDB9228534B07FD7BF8F7FCDEE004" box="[729,777,1824,1848]" pageId="26" pageNumber="227">type</typeStatus>
specimen is detached from the rest of the genitalia and embedded in some distance from it, is a normal, narrow, sclerotized rod. The eye bridge is 34 ommatidia long dorsally; on the flagellomeres, the subbasal setae form a regular whorl that is not intermingled with translucent sensilla; Rs and the surrounding area are not darkened (as far as visible in the dry-mounted wings); and the tarsi (of which not much is preserved) appear somewhat brighter than other leg segments.
