Head with eyebridge, distance between eyes 0.52 facet diameters, interocular suture well developed; antenna with scape, pedicel and 14 flagellomeres; scape increasing in width distally, pedicel spherical, flagellomeres bottle-shaped, basal segment with neck as long as bulb, subsequent segments with neck up to twice as long as bulb, all with a pair of digitate ascoids about as long as 2 flagellomeres. Wing with subcostal area broadened, R1 basally with a long digitate flexible scent organ with apical pores, Rs extraordinarily split in R2, R3+4, and R5, i.e. radial fork formed by R3 and R4, only a single vein between radial and medial forks; R5 terminates behind wing tip; CuA and CuP long sinuous. Genitalia with hypandrium medially expanded; aedeagus shorter than the tubular gonocoxites, gonostyli curved; parameral bridge thin, medially extended and apically bilobed; epandrium rectangular, surstyli longer than epandrium with row of lateral setae, apically with a group of more than 10 retinacula; hypoproct large, triangular, epiproct oval, small, both setose.
